Richard Hess has been making music for many years, originally as a bassist and guitarist specializing in noisier forms of music. On October 14th 1978, he saw Devo perform on SNL and was never the same. He bought a Micromoog synthesizer, then an Octave-Plateau Cat, then a Minimoog. Not long after he became a member of Futurisk, contributing to the "Player Piano" EP, which eventually became a highly sought after and acclaimed recording. After Futurisk, Mr. Hess drifted away from music for various reasons, but has recently been spotted buying new synthesizers and recording gear.
